After several months hiatus from blogging to focus on some other writing projects, I'm happy to be back and ready to share photos, videos and adventures!
While I've been waiting for some nice snowfalls to look for tracks, our weather has been relatively dry and snowfree. Not that I'm complaining! Here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, we always know plenty of snow is coming, usually sooner rather than later.
And besides after our May 1 blizzard this year in which nearly three feet of snow fell in 24 hours, I can do with a little less snow for a while. The Farmer's Almanac is predicting a snowier, colder winter than usual. Others are saying it'll be a warmer season with less snow. Time will tell! Whatever it will be, I look forward to sharing it with you. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this shot from an earlier winter of a hairy woodpecker coming in for a landing on a wild cherry tree.
